The JV-1080 was developed in the early 1990s and introduced a short while afterwards. It has found it's way onto many prestigeous touring rigs (Genesis had several) and Studios. Its multitimberalsm and copious ROM capacity, has made it popular with movie soundtrack composers and experimental performers alike. It is equally at home connected to a midi keyboard or DAW and has found great popularity with midi equipped electric guitar as it has excellent tracking and latency and a massive library of dynamic patches suited to the unique playing style of a stringed instrument.
